JST:  Your bio labels the band as "cine-metal"- can you explain briefly?

TFF:  "Cine-metal" is our way of describing our musical endeavor. We decided to create our songs (both structurally and lyrically) based on classic films that we enjoyed. Basically... we'd all watch a film, break it down into scenes and movements, and write a song based on our interpretation.

JST:  Is this your bands debut show? If not, what other shows have you played?

TFF:  This will be our first show.

JST:  Your new recording is titled "The Kubrick Collection". Is there any relation to Stanley Kubrick and his movies?

TFF:  As we see it, anyone who enjoys cinema, should experience Stanley Kubrick films. Whether you are a fan of his style or not, there's no denying he was a master of the art. We wanted to begin with films that had strong emotional and visual characteristics, so Kubrick was a logical choice. We had planned to continue forward and complete a full-length based on his films, but with Craig's passing, we've decided to retire Kubrick, and move on to Hitchcock.

JST:  Can you tell me a bit about one song on the disc?

TFF:  "I Am Become Death" (based on Full Metal Jacket) is the first song we're releasing. Since the movie is presented in two separate sections, we wanted to convey two unique movements that tied together using similar themes. The film and song have the obvious war elements, but we tried to concentrate on character emotions, and use those for the underlying basis. I think we were trying to suggest something about the duality of man.

JST:  Where and when was the CD recorded? How many songs?

TFF:  We recorded the CD with Jim Kendall at Ambush Recordings in Northfield August and September of 2004.  The 3 songs are as follows:

1) I Am Become Death (Full Metal Jacket)

2) A Body Leaves Its Absence (2001: A Space Odyssey)

3) Photographs of Icarus (Dr. Strangelove)

JST:  How is the CD being made available?

TFF:  The CD will be available for free at the show this Friday (Nov. 26). We plan to have a full website up and running within the next few weeks and will have all the songs available there as well. We have collectively decided to continue forward as a band, so we will also be using the CD's in an effort to recruit a new drummer.

JST:  What other bands did Craig drum for?

TFF:  Besides Twenty Four Frames, Craig also played drums for Monster Trux. Before Trux, he was in Magnetic (along with Johnny Aggro of Monster Trux).  I believe Magnetic disbanded in 1999.

JST:  How would you as a friend and band mate like Craig to be remembered?

TFF:  Craig was an amazing drummer and more importantly, an amazing person. He was one of the most outgoing, down-to-earth, honest and kindhearted people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Truly one-of-a-kind. I would encourage anyone who wants know more about Craig to read his guestbook located at: http://books.dreambook.com/jessenpr/craig.html
